Team-up bonuses are the mechanic casual lists forget — a mid hero jumps a full tier when paired with the right partner (the whole point of the game). Role matters like every hero shooter: rank Vanguards, Duelists and Strategists separately, because a broken healer wins more games than a flashy DPS.
